Collection contain sixty-eight annotated photographs on disbound photograph album pages, taken by Lawrence S. and Lorna Booth Maycock's honeymoon trip to Yellowstone National Park in 1923. Also includes later photographs with images of family trips to Yellowstone National Park in 1932, 1989, 1990, 1992, and 1998.

Biographical History

Lorna Booth Maycock (1899-1944) was a Mormon woman in Orem, Utah.

Lorna Booth Maycock was born July 12, 1899 in Nephi, Utah, to Joseph Edgar Booth and Charlotte Ann Bird Booth. In 1903, her family moved to Orem, Utah where she attended Spencer Elementary School. She graduated from the Brigham Young University High School, and taught school in Manti, Utah, and Provo, Utah. She married Lawrence S. Maycock on January 25, 1923 in Salt Lake City.

Lorna Maycock served in a variety of callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including positions in the Relief Society, the Young Women's Organization, the Primary, and the Sunday School. She also participated in a variety of civic activities as well, and was a member of the Orem Women's Club, a member of several literary clubs, a member of the Board of Directors of the Utah Valley Hospital, a board member of the Orem Heritage Center, and a board member of the BYU Emeritus Club, and in 1963, she received the Arthur V. Watkins Outstanding Citizen's Award. She and her husband, Lawrence S. Maycock, had three children: Lawrence Booth Maycock, Jean Maycock Larsen, and Helen Maycock Blake. Lorna Booth Maycock died March 22, 1994, in Orem, Utah.

Lawrence S. Maycock (1899-1986) was a businessman and farmer in Orem, Utah.

Lawrence S. Maycock was born January 25, 1899 in Springville, Utah, to John Berry Maycock and Tryphena Crandall Maycock. He attended Brigham Young University and married Lorna Booth Maycock in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 25, 1923. He was a sales representative for General Foods in Utah and Idaho; he also operated a car dealership in Provo, Utah. He later participated in the construction of Geneva Steel where he worked as a department supervisor. Following retirement, he operated a farm in Orem, Utah. Lawrence Maycock served as a High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He died June 10, 1986 in Provo, Utah. He and his wife, Lorna Booth Maycock had three children: Lawrence Booth Maycock, Jean Maycock Larsen, and Helen Maycock Blake.
