Hansen and Broberg family biographies and family records
Scope and Contents
Photocopies of three typescripts. One is a biography of Niels Hansen and Karen Marie Hansen by their daughter Norma Hansen Decker, another is an autobiography by Ernest John Broberg, and the last item consists of family records collected by John Broberg and Niels M. Hansen. Decker talks about her parents' conversion to the Mormon Church in Denmark, their journey from Denmark on the vessel "Emerald Isle" to America, their settling in Utah, their experiences with Indians, and their lifelong devotion to the Mormon Church. Broberg talks of his early years in Sweden, of the beautiful scenery there, and of chores he used to do to earn money. The Broberg family records cover the years 1793 to 1913.
