Biographical History

Kenneth Dale Wells (1908-1998) founded the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge and the Family Foundation of America.

Kenneth Dale Wells, 1908-1998, founded the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge in 1949. He oversaw employer-employee relations for Union Oil from 1939 to 1949, served as chairman of the Freedoms Foundation and built its campus, and worked closely with its president, Dwight D. Eisenhower. He retired in 1970, but was a candidate for Congress 2 years later. After retirement, he and his wife, Ruth, established the Family Foundation of America, working with schools and orphanages in El Salvador.
