Scope and Contents
Materials used in preparing a scurrilous Victorian work to be published in a limited edition for a few subscribers. Includes five pages of text in manuscript, three pages of errata for the printed text, a three page incomplete list of subscribers, a sheet showing expenses in publishing 530 copies, an etching, two envelopes addressed to Leonard C. Smithers, a newspaper clipping dated 1890 February 20 describing the arrest of a London bookseller and a publisher's salesman for dealing in obscene material. Also included are four manuscript pages of a translation of Catullus.
