Journal of Margaret Bryson Waddell
Scope and Contents note
The Margaret Bryson Waddell journal is a typescript of the original journal kept by Waddell from March 23, 1878 until October 11, 1882. In this journal, Waddell obviously attempted to make an entry everyday, sometimes recording an anniversary with her husband, whom she refers to simply as "Alex", and also recording typical day to day tasks on a farm, such as the number of chicks they had and which cow had given birth to a new calf. During the time she wrote this journal, Waddell lived with her husband and children in Jackson, Amador, California. The typescript was produced in 2001. The collection also contains, at the end of the journal, a pedigree for Waddell.
