A warranty deed, dated February 1, 1882, between Zions Co-Operative Mercantile Institution and Jesse Elliot of Salt Lake City, Utah. Jesse has sold Zions Co-operative Mercantile ten acres, called the Big Field, in Salt Lake City for $6750. The boundaries of the land are described. The document is signed by David L. Murdock, R. J. Deighton, William Jennings, and Thomas G. Webber (Secretary and Treasury of Zions Co-Operative Mercantile Institution). A document signed by Nephi N. Clayton on the same topic is also included. 4 leaves.

Administrative History
Zion's Cooperative Mercantile Institution was founded in 1868 in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was claimed as one of the earliest department stores of the U.S. It was owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints until it was sold off to the department stores Meier & Frank and Dillard's in 1999.
