Scope and Contents

This collection contains one black and white photograph. A hand-written caption below the photograph reads, "On the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the foundation of the Italian Sport Center, Oct. 9, 1955, Professor Luigi Gedda, President of the magazine 'Catholic Italian Action' (Azione Cattolica Italiana), is presenting to the Holy Father a Grundig High Fidelity Concert Cabinet in the name of Mr. Muse Grundig. Also present on the occasion were: S.T. Mous, Mario T Castellano, Bishop of Voletrra, Clerical Chief Assistant of the magazine 'Catholic Italian Action' as well as three high ranking Prelates of the Vaticanian State Secretary. Rome, St. Peters Square, October 9, 1955."

Biographical / Historical

Luigi Gedda was an Italian politician, doctor, and President of the Catholic Italian Action magazine. He was born on 23 October 1902 in Venice and died on 26 September 2000 in Rome.
