Biographical note

Thomas Farrar Whitley was born 11 May 1906 in Leeds, England to George Henry Whitley and Mary Ann Farrar Whitley. His family joined the LDS Church and eventually moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. Tom accepted a call to serve in the Tonga Mission, where he served from Mar. 1935-Feb.1938. On Sept. 30, 1938, he married Caroline Dorothy Gunderson, with whom he had six children. Thomas Whitley died 12 July 1975 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
