Biographical History

Henry C. Rogers (1914-1995) founded the public relations firm Rogers & Cowan.

Henry C. Rogers was born in 1914 in Irvington, New Jersey. The Great Depression halted his plans to earn a Business degree from the Warton School, part of the University of Pennsylvania, and he ended up clipping newspapers for a Public Relations woman in Los Angeles in 1935. He later went on to set up his own Public Relations firm with Warren Cowan. Rogers & Cowan was arguably the leading Public Relations firm for many actors and companies in Hollywood and elsewhere. He recorded his life in his autobiography Walking the Tightrope in 1985. He died on April 28, 1995.
