Also includes information on George Shepherd Taylor and George M. Taylor. Materials date from between 1862 and 1955.

Custodial History

The collection was donated to the Brigham Young University Library by her son, Frederick Richen, after her death. She had previously donated other portions of her records.

Separated Materials

Eight pressed plant specimens, placed in journals between 1915 and 1955, were removed from the collection and transferred to the Monte L. Bean Museum. Fourteen newspapers were removed and transferred to the Harold B. Lee Library. One phrenological, a letter written by Heber J. Grant to Miriam Taylor, and a letter written by Joseph F. Smith to Harvey H. Cluff were separated to be catalogued separately. Photographs were removed and transferred to the Photo Archives where they are located as collection number MSS P 173.
