Scope and Contents

First volume is an autobiography describing his early life in Provo, Utah, including attendance at Brigham Young University, 1932-1934; mission for the Mormon Church in Scotland and England in the British Mission, 1934-1936; medical studies at the University of Colorado and University of Utah; experiences as a medical officer in World War II; and medical practice in Poplar, Montana, and Salt Lake City, Utah. First volume also includes autobiographical sketch of his father, Elvon L. Jackson; biographical information on other ancestors; several photographic images; copies of certificates; and family genealogical data. A second volume, compiled circa 1995, contains Jackson's favorite writings by various authors. Copies of personal photographs and other mementos are also interspersed throughout the volume.
