Biographical / Historical

David Hyrum Wood was born December 10, 1880, in Pinto, Washington County, Utah. He grew up in Huntington, Utah, and completed high school at age 16. He worked on a ranch for a season, then at 17 began attending Brigham Young University. He left on his first mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in April 1901, to New Zealand, and later served to New Zealand again in 1912. David died January 7, 1964, in Murray, Utah.
