Biographical History

Michaelbrent Collings (1974- ) is a horror/romance novelist and screenwriter residing in Idaho.

Michaelbrent Collings was born on October 25, 1974. He attended Pepperdine University and became a construction contract dispute litagator. His first book, "Run," was self-published on Amazon in 2010. Since then, he has published over 20 other novels, including western romances under the name Angelica Hart, the first of which was published in 2017. His books "The Deep" and "The Ridealong" were finalists for the Bram Stoker Award in 2016; "This Darkness Light" and "The Longest Con" were finalists for the Whitney Awards in 2014 and 2017. He holds the record for having the most screenplays move on to quarterfinals and semifinals in the Acadamy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting in a single year. The scripts for "Barricade" and "Darkroom" went on to become movies in 2012 and 2013. In January of 2019, he gave a TEDx talk in Rexburg. Collings is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served a mission in Paraguay from 1993 to 1995.
