Biographical history

Jane Elizabeth Hyde Molen (1843-1934) was an early pioneer and missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Jane Elizabeth Hyde Molen was born on February 12, 1843 in Nauvoo, Illinois, to William Hyde and Elizabeth Howe Bullard. She married Simpson Montgomery Molen on August 7, 1859 in Utah and together they were the parents of five children. Jane and Simpson served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Hawaiian Sandwich Islands from 1876 to 1879. When they returned, she was called to serve in the Utah Primary Association presidency in Hyde Park. She remarried George Orrin Pitkin in 1903. She died on December 25, 1934 in Hyrum, Utah.
