Biographical History

Horatio Nelson King (1830-1895) was a photographer in England.

Horatio Nelson King was born in 1830 in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. He was married to Elizabeth A. Melksham, and together they had three daughter. Later in his life, King was married to Clara M. Bath, and had one son with her. King started his career as a photographer in 1851. Between the years on 1858-1872, King opened up four studios in Bath. King had a close connection to the royal family and was declared the architectural photographer to Queen Victoria on August 25, 1896. King died in Hammersmith.
