Biographical History

Stephen B. Armstrong (1970- ) is a film historian and instructor at Dixie State College in St. George, UT.

Stephen B. Armstrong was born in 1970. He began a lifelong career in film history and writing as an undergraduate at the University of Maryland. He has written many articles and publications about various films and their creators, most notably his book Pictures about Extremes: The Films of John Frankenheimer.

Armstrong directed the film Return to Little Hollywood, a documentary about the filming of Westerns in the state of Utah. Now an associate professor at Dixie State College in St. George, Utah, he has published his second book, Andrew V. McLaglen: The Life and Hollywood Career, whilst teaching English.
