Typescript of an interview (78 pages) conducted by LeGrand Baker on August 14, 1986 for the Brigham Young University Archives. Allen tells about the career and programs of John H. Perry (b. 1917), author and businessman, who had a plan called the National Dividend Plan to more effectively handle public assistance in the United States.

Biographical History
Harold C. Allen (1918-2003) was a newspaper editor in Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida.
Harold C. Allen, or Hal Allen, was born April 10, 1918 in Wrightsville, Georgia to parents Harold C. Allen and Sarah Hines. He worked as copy boy for Eastman Times-Journal, as the managing editor for Milledgeville Daily Times, as an editor at Atlanta Constitution, a sports editor for Macon Evening News, a managing editor of Macon Telegraph, the editor-in-chief of Beaver Valley Times, an editor of Rock Hill Herald; and the editor-in-chief of Palm Beach Post, The Evening Times, and The Green Streak. He was also a member of the Freedom Foundation. He married Bettye S. Allen. Allen passed away on January 8, 2003 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
