Biographical history

John Steele was born in 1821 in Ireland and died in 1903 in Utah. He was an Irish convert to the LDS Church, pioneer to Utah and Nevada, member of the Mormon Battalion, Utah militia office, Mormon missionary, and Utah civic leader. Steele lived in Nauvoo, Illinois; Parowan and Toquerville, Utah; and in Las Vegas, Nevada.
