Scope and Contents
This collection contains approximately 2000 publicity shots and movie stills and 350 photographic negatives taken by Robert Portirio. The images are of movies from the early 1940s through 1950s. Film titles include The Maltese Falcon (1941), Laura (1944), Criss Cross (1948), Lady on a Train (1945), Moonrise (1948), Murder, My Sweet (1944), Street of Chance (1942), The Lodger (1944), Hangover Square (1945), The Blue Dahlia (1946), Kiss of Death (1947), The Woman in the Window (1944), The Glass Key (1942), and Double Indemnity (1944). A majority of the photographs are duplicates.
