Scope and Contents

Collection contains 91 black and white photographs, 2 color photographs, 27 oversize black and white photographs, 7 oversize color photographs, 1 oversize framed color photograph, 60 glass plate negatives, 41 negatives, and 3 books. Print copies made from the negatives are also included in the colleciton. The three books are: "Secretarial Notebook for North Ward Sunday School June 2, 1901-December 7, 1904," "Recipes: For the Jewett Chafing Dish," and "They Left a Record: A Comprehensive History of Nephi, Utah 1851-1978." All items are relating to Nephi, Utah from 1851-1978.

Biographical / Historical

Fred Chapman (1908-2006) was a historian and photographer in Nephi, Utah. His father, Frederick George Chapman and his partner Alma Chase operated a photography studio in Nephi for many years.
