Scope and Contents

This collection contains 22 glass plate negatives of a variety of things, including Mayan symbols and ruins, children canoeing, children playing by a river and in a forest, the Woolworth and Municipal Buildings in New York City, images of Joseph Smith and his residences, the Sacred Grove, the Susquehanna River, Lucy Smith, Oliver Cowdery, David Whitmer, and Martin Harris. Prints have been made from the glass plate negatives for patron use.

Negatives restricted. Prints open to public access; Kept in cold storage; access requires 24 hours advance notice.

It is the responsibility of the researcher to obtain any necessary copyright clearances. Permission to publish material from Various Glass Plates must be obtained from the Supervisor of Reference Services and/or the L. Tom Perry Special Collections Board of Curators.
