Associated Latter-day Media Artists (ALMA) photographs, circa 1960s-1980s collection contains 214 photographs, 14 negative strips, 9 pages of negatives proofs, and 48 slides of film and personalities. Many were taken at firesides and other seminars or meetings.

Biographical / Historical

Associated Latter-day Media Artists (ALMA) was formed in January of 1977 by Donna King Conkling, Glen Larson, Ruth and Nathan Hale, Bert Lynn, Robert Starling, and Gordon Jump. A network of contacts was created for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints within the media fields. The organization hosted firesides, seminars, award ceremonies and other activities bringing support and awareness concerning Latter-day Saints in the media. It became a worldwide association with headquarters in Los Angeles, California.
