Administrative History

The Utah State Firemen's Association (est. 1908) is an organization for firefighters in Utah. The Utah State Firemen's Association was organized on September 16, 1908. Originally, fifteen delegates met in Salt Lake City for the formation, and Alex Baker was voted President. The Association began holding annual tournaments in 1908. The tournaments consisted of practical and impractical firefighting techniques, but fun competitions as well. The Association held tournaments annually until 1938, and then continued in 1958.
