Santa is not coming to town : an investigation from believer to nonbeliever / Crystal Bush, 2009
Scope and Contents note
This project is a collection of people's experiences about learning that Santa Claus is not real. The analysis claims that learning the truth about Santa Claus is a rite of passage. Discusses how Santa Claus became an American icon and integral part of the American Christmas. Also discusses the role that Santa Claus plays in a child's development, and the transitioning from believer to non-believer. Items collected include personal narratives about learning about Santa, talks with parents, finding Christmas presents in the closet, and several others. Collected by Crystal Bush, Dr. Rudy's ENGL 391 class, Spring 2009.
