Administrative History

The LDS Chaplains Oral History Project was conducted by the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies in 1973 and 1974.

The LDS Chaplains Oral History Project was conducted through the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies by Richard Maher as research for his master's thesis for Brigham Young University. Thirty-seven people were interviewed about the World War II experience of Mormon chaplains. Two chaplains from World War I were also interviewed. Some of this research was later published by Maher in the book "For God and Country."​
