Scope and Contents

Collection includes a 60-page unbound scrapbook containing over 300 photographs dated 1915-1919. Collection also contains legal correspondence between Catherine D. Wills' husband Wyman L. Wills and her cousin and attorney William H. Streeper postmarked 1938 and 1939. Materials dated 1915-1939.

Biographical History

Catherine D. Wills (1896-1982) was an elementary school teacher, musician, and active political volunteer in Utah.

Rhoda Catherine Dougall Wills was born on June 11, 1896 in Springville, Utah to parents Hugh MacSwein Dougall Jr and Rhoda Rebecca Groesbeck Dougall. She attended the University of Utah and graduated from Brigham Young University. She married Wyman L. Wills (1888-1941) on December 30, 1931 in Springville. Catherine D. Wills worked as an elementary school teacher in Nebo School District for many years and was known for her musical talent. She was also active in political groups and served as vice chairman of the Republican precinct.

Wells died on April 16, 1982 in Springville, Utah.
