Biographical History

Junius Romney (1878-1971) was a stake president in the Mormon colonies in Mexico.

Junius Romney was born March 12, 1878 in St. George, Utah to Miles Park Romney and Catharine Jane Cottam. In 1887 the family moved to Colonia Juarez, Mexico. He married Gertrude Stowell on October 10, 1900 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Romney was later called as stake president in the Mexican colonies and was part of the exodus out of the colonies. He was later a business man and worked for Beneficial Life Insurance. He passed away March 21, 1971 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
