A preface by Berendt states: "Advertencia: el original del presente confesonario es un manuscrito en 16mo. de 42 fajas útiles en el Archivo Parroquial del pueblo de Tactic y me lo presto para sacar copia el cura de aquel pueblo, Fray Silvestre Mijangos, Dominico espulsado de Chiapas. Coban, Agosto de 1875. C. Hermann Berendt."
