Scope and Contents
Letter from Thomas L. Kane to Jane Duval Leiper Kane telling her about a Mrs. Nicholson who introduced him through letters to her brother in England, a friend of Charles Dickens. He also writes about getting to know his cousin Helen, daughter of Oliver Kane, and that he visited the site of the Battle of New Orleans. Dated March 20, 1840.
