Biographical History

From the Collection:

Angela Morrison is an American Mormon author who writes, in her words, "break your heart coming of age YA romances." She was born in Washington State, where she was exposed to writing from a young age. She attended writing classes and seminars throughout high school, and later studied English at Brigham Young University.

While at BYU, Morrison met and married her husband, an international business consultant. Soon after graduating with a B.A. in English, she lived in Canada, Switzerland, and Singapore, before settling in Scottsdale, Arizona. After raising four children, she turned again to writing and graduated with an MFA in Creative Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts in 2004.

She has since published many novels, starting with the teen romance "Taken By Storm" published by Razorbill books in 2009. Her 2010 novel, "Sing me to Sleep," won the "Best Books 2011" award from "USA Book News" Organization. She since gone on to write two more novels in the same series as "Taken By Storm" and writes frequently on writing and her work on her blog.
