Materials contain a handwritten (faxed) account of Burke A. Thomas regarding his experiences in World War II as a fighter pilot for the Canadian Army that was sent to aid the British Royal Air Force in fighting the Axis powers. Describes the work of his squad bombing and fighting almost exclusively at night, with only five missions during daylight. He recounts how he believed the prayers of his and another pilot's mother gave them added courage. He also speaks of a couple missions dropping food to the people of Holland after their liberation. Dated approximately 2001.
