Letters, 1890-1891
Handwritten and signed letters, dated 26 Dec. 1890 and 7 Jan. 1891, and addressed to "Mr. Walker," probably John Brisben Walker, editor of Cosmopolitan magazine. Atwood writes about his publications for Cosmopolitan.
Letters, 1898
Handwritten and signed letters. Bacheller writes to "Dear Mr. Walker" (probably John Brisben Walker) on 14 March 1898 concerning how the circulation of an unnamed periodical may be increased. Bacheller suggests they hire a "first class solicitor" to help. Also included is a missive addressed to "Mr. Fynn" and dated 20 Nov. of an unspecified year. Bacheller writes, "I called it Darrel because he was the dominant figure of the book and indeed it's hero."
Letters, 1891-1892
Handwritten, typewritten, and signed letters addressed to John Brisben Walker. Bryce writes on 2 Jan. 1891 that he would like to publish an article submitted by Walker. Bryce writes on 16 July 1892 asking Walker to meet him at Delmonicos for lunch.
Letters, 1947
Typewritten and signed letter, addressed to Charles Bramley, dated 2 Jan. 1947, and composed on "Punch" stationary. Agnew thanks Bramley for a recent letter and comments on Charles Graves' History of Punch which was completed before the author's death. Agnew states that the work "has to be amended and added to, and this is now being done."
Letters, 1896-1897
Three handwritten, typewritten and signed letters; addressed to E. B. Morgan; and dated 16 Nov. and 18 Dec. 1896 and 8 Feb. 1897. Burgess thanks Morgan for sending quotations to him. Also included are the envelopes in which the items were sent.

Letters and a poem, 1888-1901
Two handwritten and signed letters and a handwritten and signed poem. Bailey writes to "Mr. Norton" on 19 March 1888 on "59 Mt. Vernon St." stationary regarding an autograph collection. Bailey says he does not want it and speculates on someone that might.
Howard Rusk Long correspondence
Correspondence. Most of the items date from the 1930s to the 1980s, but some newspaper clippings date from 1844. The materials document Long's journalsitic and teaching careers. He taught for two years at Southern Illinois University. Long organized the International Conferenece of Weekly Newspaper editors. The official publication of the organization was the "Grassroots Editor."
