Biography
Jean M. Larsen (1931-) was a professor of family science and early child education at Brigham Young University.
Jean M. Larsen was born Jean Maycock on February 23, 1931 to Lawrence S. and Lorna Maycock (née Booth) in Provo, Utah. She received a bachelor of science from Brigham Young University in 1953. She was married to A. Dean Larsen, who served as Associate University Librarian at BYU, on February 14, 1958 and they had four children. She recieved a master of science from BYU in 1960 and a PhD from the University of Utah in 1972. Jean became a faculty member at BYU in 1960, professor of family science in 1972, and coordinator of the early childhood education program in 1980.

An interview with Jean Larsen
DVD of unedited footage in which Jean Larsen discusses her husband's work in Special Collections at Brigham Young University. Her husband is Dean Larsen, who became University Librarian in the Harold B. Lee Library on Brigham Young University campus and contributed significantly to the development of Brigham Young University's special collections. She tells stories having to do with her family and her husband's dealings with book dealers. Dated February 20, 2013.
