Mary Wilson was born in 1848 in Philadelphia, and she died in 1919. He died in 1940.

She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Utah with the Willie handcart company. The biography is mainly an account of Margaret's ordeal on the trek to Utah. Margaret lost the use of one eye because it was frozen. She died in 1893.
