James Allen Parkinson was born May 10, 1894, in Grantsville, Tooele County, Utah. He was a teacher of civics at Grantsville High School. He died December 1, 1969.

James Allen Parkinson was born May 10, 1894, in Grantsville, Tooele County, Utah. He was a teacher of civics at Grantsville High School. He was a private in the 313th Engineers, American Expeditionary Forces in France during World War I. Parkinson was ordained a High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on January 16, 1944. He died in Grantsville on December 1, 1969.

Scrapbook of newspaper clippings of biographies of various residents of Grantsville, Utah, one of which is dated 1936. Also included is a brief, handwritten history of Grantsville describing history up to 1956, and a program for the dedication of the post office in Grantsville in 1962 at which James Parkinson gave the benediction. Collection dated approximately 1936 to 1962.
