Biographical History

Heber G. Wolsey (1922-2015) is a former communications professor, academic administrator, and public communications director in Utah.

Heber Grant Wolsey was born on November 5, 1922 to Luther Justin Wolsey and Mary Eliza Spence in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. He became a United States citizen while serving during World War II in the Army Air Force. Wolsey married Fay Parrish Wolsey on August 19, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas. They were later sealed in the Cardston, Alberta temple on December 06, 1944 and together had nine children. He received eduation at Brigham Young University, Northwestern University, and Michigan State University. Wolsey worked as a seminary teacher and for KSL Corporation, Gillham Advertising Agency, and Southern Utah University. He eventually became a professor at Brigham Young University where he taught in the Communications department and was Assistant to the Communications department President. Wolsey became the Director of Public Relations for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints's Public Communications Department in 1978. On May 25, 2015 he passed away in Orem, Utah.
