Biography

Charles Clarence Bush (1873-1959) was a musician.

Charles Clarence Bush was born July 5, 1873 in Clover, Utah to Richard Nelson Bush and Hannah Maria Green. He graduated from the University of Utah in 1894 with a degree in recreation and social work. He married Martha M. Isgreen on December 18, 1896. He left immediately after to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Hawaiian islands. Upon his return, he founded the Hawaiian Missionary Society and the Hawaiian Troubadors. He also directed the Salt Lake Military Band and the Bush Novelty Band. He died March 7, 1959 in Tooele, Utah.
