Biographical History

Elias Nielsen (1870-1946) was a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Logan, Utah.

Elias Nielsen was born on January 30, 1870, in Denmark. After he and his family converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they emigrated to Logan, Utah, in 1887. Elias served in the Northern States Mission in North and South Dakota from 1897 to 1899. He later married Rosina Grebber Stirland and was a co-partner in the Union Knitting Mills in Logan, Utah. Elias died May 27, 1946.

Journal kept by Elias Nielsen which includes entries during his service a missionary in the Northern States Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1897 to 1899. Also contains lists of ward member names in Logan, Utah, blessings given, a biographical entry, and other personal stories. Dates of entries begin in 1893 and continue through 1916.
