Biography

John Whitmer Hoover (1834-1902) was a Utah miller.

John Whitmer Hoover was born on November 18, 1834 to Abraham Hoover and Mary Elizabeth Adair. He immigrated to Utah with his family in 1854, when he was 19 years old. On December 23, 1855, he married Mary Elizabeth Corsa and had twelve children. John owned and operated a mill in Provo, UT and left it to his sons when he died on May 27, 1902.
