Vol. X, 1928: p. 257 (Born to Elisha and Alida Kane, graduated from Yale, achieved the bar in 1817, appointed by President Jackson to be commissioner at the 1831 convention, appointed Attorney General and then District Court judge) p. 258 (married Jane Duval Leiper, and had seven children, including Elisha Kent Kane, and Thomas L. Kane., died in Philadelphia Feb. 21, 1858)
