Biography

Garth N. Jones (b. 1926) is Professor Emeritus of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Alaska at Anchorage.

Garth Nelson Jones was born in 1926. He received a B.S. from Utah State University in 1947, then a M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Utah in 1948 and 1954, all in Political Science. He was Professor of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Alaska at Anchorage until he became Professor Emeritus in 1988. During his career he has written about a dozen monographs on public policy, and numerous articles on Mormon history and culture.

Scope and Contents

Draft copy of paper by Garth N. Jones on his ancestor and his part in the expedition to South America with Brigham Young Academy president Benjamin Cluff, Jr. to find the ancient Book of Mormon city of Zarahemla in Colombia. Original draft finished in 2008. This 2010 edition is the corrected version with some additions.
