Nelson B. Wadsworth (1930- ) is a photojournalist and professor who primarily worked in Utah.

Nelson B. Wadsworth was born in Martinez, California in 1930. He graduated from Alhambra Union High School in 1948. In 1951, he served as a radio operator in the Korean War, enrolling in San Jose State College shortly after. He received his undergraduate degree in 1954 and then earned a master's degree from the University of Utah in 1970.

Nelson B. Wadsworth has worked as a freelance writer and photographer, working with major companies such as Life and Time. He also worked on the faculty at the University of Utah from 1966 to 1971 and the Brigham Young University from 1971 to 1982. He then worked at the Utah State Univeristy from 1982 to 1994. Since then, he has worked as professor emeritus at Utah State University, served as editor for the Rangefinder, a magazine from the National Press Photographers Association, and worked to collect and restore historical photographs.

Materials were accumulated by Nelson Wadsworth as part of his research of the history of photographers, Utah photographers, Utah and LDS church history. Handwritten notes on the Church of the Firstborn of the Fulness of Times, photocopies of typewritten notes and letters from Margarito Bautista to John Butchereit, Church of the Firstborn tracts and the periodical, "Ensign" (1961-1965), one copy of "Mtn West" (1979) which contains an article on the John Singer family, and miscellaneous documents.
