John and Louisa Thalmann Hasler autobiography
Typescript of an autbiography edited by Helen C. Stark in 1963. Louisa Hasler writes about her conversion to the Mormon Church; her association with her brother-in-law, Hans Ulrich Winkler; her migration to Utah; and her life in Mt. Pleasant. Also included is a typed autobiography of Louisa's husband, John Hasler. John writes about his association with Hans Ulrich Winkler, his conversion to the Mormon Church, his migration to Utah, and his life in Mt. Pleasant.
John Moburn Kay letter
Typewritten copy of a letter published in the Mormon "Millennial Star." The item was addressed to George Q. Cannon, an apostle of the Mormon Church. Kay recounts the passage of the ship "Hudson" across the Atlantic with Mormon emigrants. Kay writes about the birth and death of John Winkler, son of Anna and Hans Ulrich Winkler.
