Biographical History

Sheril Foster Bischoff (born 1936) is the niece of Helen Foster Snow and the current living trustee of Helen Foster Snow's Literary Trust. She is the wife of fellow Helen Foster Snow Literary Trustee Garth Lamont Bischoff and had with him 5 children before his death in 2004.

Born Sheril Foster Knight on October 2, 1936, she was the niece of famous American journalist Helen Foster Snow and "Red Star Over China" author Edgar Snow. Prior to Helen Foster Snow's death, she and her husband Garth were designated trustees to the Helen Foster Snow Literary Trust, where she donated many important documents of Helen Foster Snow's time in China to Brigham Young University's Special Collections department.

Sheril met her husband Garth Lamont Bischoff at Utah State University and they married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 23, 1955. They raised five children in their home in California. Garth passed away in Irvine, California, on February 6, 2004.
