Fourth presiding bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, settled in California and introduced to the Church by the Thatcher family, who were neighbors. Married Harriet Thatcher on February 24, 1858, settled in Cache, became bishop of Logan. Served a mission to Great Britain in 1866, became a member of the territorial legislative assembly (1872-1882). Findagrave, via WWW, August 11, 2020 (He married Bertha Marie Anderson in 1871).
