Dean Jagger (1903-1991) was an American actor.
Dean Jagger (1903-1991) was an American actor. He is considered a successful character actor, earning the 1949 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Twelve O'Clock High. He is perhaps best known for portraying Brigham Young in the 1940 film of that name. In 1972, 32 years later, he was baptized into the LDS church.

While material on most films is limited to a still or a press clipping, the bulk of the collection covers the years 1934-1965 and more comprehensively documents major theater performances and the motion pictures "Brigham Young" (1940), "Western Union" (1941), and "Twelve O'Clock High" (1949).
