Biographical History

Bruce Arnie Barrett Jr. was born October 21, 1929, to Bruce Arnie Barrett Sr. and Josie Myrtle Ross in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served in the Army Air Corps in the Occupational Army stationed in Japan as a photographer (1946-1949). He married Eunice Mortensen August 3, 1950. They had six children. He retired from Brigham Young University in 1995 as the Director of Auxiliary Services. Bruce died September 4, 2010, in Orem, Utah.

Scope and Contents Primarily footage of removal of house trailers from Wyview Park, which had provided married-student housing at BYU. Trailers were sold to a developer. The park was built in 1971 at Barrett's suggestion, to replace Wyview Village. Footage, shot between April 5 and May 20, accompanied by Barrett's live narration.
