She emphasizes her and her mother's family background, childhoods, and educational experiences. Stone includes some poems by various authors and places all of the information within the interpretative framework of Mormon theology.

For most of her adult life, she lived in Spanish Fork, Utah, during the winters and worked at her husband's ranch at he junction of the Spanish Fork and Diamond Fork rivers. She was active in the Mormon Church and had ten children.
