Biography
Marcus L. Bach (1901-1955) was a philosopher, teacher, minister, and author.
Marcus L. Bach was born on December 15, 1901 in Sauk City, Wisconsin. He studied music at the University of Wisconsin from 1920-1922. He then went on to study ordained ministry at the Mission House College and Seminary in Plymouth, Wisconsin from 1924-1925. He married Lorena Otto Ernest on August 19, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1936 he attended the University of Iowa and studied playwriting. He published many plays.
From 1945-1964 he worked as a professor teaching tolerance and respect for all faiths and other faith related courses.
In 1964 he and his wife moved to Palos Verdes Estates, California to provide an opportunity for both of them to further pursue their interests. Throughout his life he continued to act as a minister and traveled all around the world in order to learn about other religions and cultures. He wrote 46 books covering his experiences.
He passed away on March 26, 1995 in Los Angeles, California.
