Biographical History

Phileon B. Robinson (1923-2003) was an academic administrator in Utah.

Phileon Benjamin Robinson was born August 20, 1923 in Wilder, Idaho. He recieved his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in 1945. He received his MBA from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, in 1946. From 1947 to 1950 he served a mission in Finland for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After his return, in 1952 he married Hortense Burton. Then two years later in 1954 he returned to Finland with his family to serve as mission president there. In 1970 he received a doctorate from the University of Nebraska in Adult Education. He served 30 years as part of the Brigham Young University community, spending 20 years as an administrator in the Division of Continuing Education, after which he became the founding director of the Gerontology Center.

Robinson died September 13, 2003 in Provo, Utah.
